Becoming a member supports a community dedicated to superior horse care and premier student guidance. Your membership ensures the stability needed for elite, year-round programming and provides essential upkeep for our grounds and equipment. By joining, you secure lesson availability and become a steward of a sanctuary where horses are respected, riders are nurtured, and integrity defines our standards.
-
Yes, you can initiate a membership for a pro-rated amount at any point in the year. All renewals take place every June.
-
Memberships cannot be changed until June. If you would like to ride more, you are welcome to sign up for a group lesson by season or a flex membership, such as The Gizmo or The Dash.
-
After you complete your purchase, we will reach out to get your recurring private and/or group lesson scheduled.
-
Yes. You have access to your lessons, and you can reschedule to an available time as long as you provide notice at least 48 hours before your scheduled lesson.
-
We are offering 2 levels of group lessons this Fall (Adults 5+ and Juniors). Depending on level of interest, we will add more group times to select from. Click here for more details on the structure and available times of group lessons.
-
A yearly calendar for planning or rescheduling lessons in advance is available on our website. Note: Wrenacyn closes for designated holiday and maintenance weeks throughout the year, which is why membership accounts for 11 weeks of lessons per season, rather than 13.
-
In the event of a significant hardship, such as an injury or extreme family circumstance, membership may be paused on a case-by-case basis. All pauses must be requested in advance and approved by the Director and Programming Coordinator. Once approved, your membership will be placed on hold until you are able to return, and the remaining lessons will resume at that time.
-
48-Hour Notice: To cancel or reschedule, notify the Director or Assistant Director through our website at least 48 hours in advance.
Makeup Lessons: If you provide 48 hours' notice, we will try to schedule a makeup. These must be completed within the same month and confirmed within 2 days of the missed lesson. Makeups depend on availability and are not guaranteed.
Group Lessons: Due to their shared nature, group lessons cannot be rescheduled or made up.
Arrival & Preparation: Please arrive on time to groom and tack up. If you are not mounted by the midpoint of your lesson, the session is forfeited without a refund.
Late Reschedule Allowances: Members can use a limited number of Late Reschedule Allowances for private lessons with less than 48 hours' notice:
4-Season Members: 4 allowances per year.
2- & 3-Season Members: 2 allowances per year.
After your yearly allotment is exhausted, any further changes within the 48-hour window will result in a forfeited session.
-
Your private and/or group lesson time is locked in for the entire membership duration. No need to reschedule week-to-week or month-to-month. Scheduling is not a first-come, first-served rush. Beginning in the first week of May, enrollment and scheduling open in phases to manage horse and instructor availability:
12-Month Members schedule first.
9-Month Members schedule next.
6-Month Members schedule last.
Once all members have selected their times, scheduling opens to non-member riders and other programs.
-
Instructor assignments are not published in advance and are determined by the Director and Programming Coordinator. While you should expect to have the same instructor each week, we cannot guarantee it due to potential absences. If you have concerns about your learning style, please reach out to the Director or Programming Coordinator.
-
If your regularly scheduled lesson time no longer works, we are happy to reschedule all remaining lessons for a new time based on availability.
-
All memberships are paid over 10 months during the first year (August through May) and over 12 months during ensuing years. The memberships cover 12 months of programming (or 9 months for September–May, and 6 months for fall and spring). Note: Wrenacyn closes for designated holiday and maintenance weeks throughout the year, which is why this membership structure accounts for 11 weeks of lessons per season, rather than 13.
-
To cancel a membership prior to membership renewal in June, members must provide 30 days' written notice. Because memberships feature discounted promotional rates where services are rendered faster than billed, early cancellation will result in a final closeout invoice for 50% of the remaining contract balance.
Below are some scenarios that show what final amounts could look like depending on what package you have and when you would need to cancel.
