At Wrenacyn, we believe that learning to ride is about more than just time in the saddle. It is about building confidence, compassion, and communication with our equine partners. Our programs meet every rider where they are, providing individualized instruction in a supportive, inclusive environment. Whether you’re brand new to horses or ready to refine your skills, we’ll help you grow at your own pace. 

What to Expect at Wrenacyn:

  • Hands-On Learning: Gain valuable experience in grooming, tacking, and horse care. Every session includes time for horsemanship and connection because we believe great riders start from the ground up. 

  • Well-Maintained, Updated Arena: Enjoy expert instruction in our 170x70 indoor arena and 100x200 freshly renovated outdoor arena, suitable for year-round learning.

  • Personalized Instruction: Our experienced instructors meet each rider’s individual needs while fostering teamwork, empathy, and a sense of accomplishment. 

  • Equine Education: Our curriculum blends horsemanship, mindfulness, and skill-building. Riders learn not only how to ride but also why horses respond the way they do – building true partnership and understanding. 

Private Lessons

Private lessons offer one-on-one instruction, ideal for riders focusing on a specific skill, show preparation, or a quieter learning environment.

Options & Rates:

  • Half Hour Long: $45 (AVAILABLE STARTING JAN. 5TH 2025)

  • Hour Long: $75 ($85 STARTING JAN. 1ST 2025)

  • Private lessons can be scheduled around group or semi-private programming based on horse and instructor availability. Pairing private lessons with group or semi-private sessions gives riders a well-rounded learning experience.

  • Half Hour Private Lessons are only available for riders who can successfully tack and mount independently. Riders will arrive 15-30 minutes early to tack and mount their horse. Please speak to a Wrenacyn Instructor prior to booking a half hour private lesson.

  • Hour Private lessons are available to all riders, regardless of grooming and tacking ability. Riders will arrive at the time of their lesson, and have assistance from their instructor in grooming and tacking their horse before riding.

Group Lessons

Small-group lessons of 3-4 riders blend skill development, teamwork, and fun. Riders are placed by age and skill. Each 8-Lesson session includes both mounted and groundwork lessons.

What’s Included:

  • 8 weekly 1-hour lessons (catching, tack-up, riding, cool-down, untacking)

  • Curriculum-based under saddle learning and horsemanship education

  • Rates: $70 per Lesson ($560 per Season)

  • Make-Ups: Make-up lessons will not be available should the rider cancel. However, if Wrenacyn cancels a lesson, a make up week will be added.

2026 Winter Session

The 2026 Winter Session Group Lessons will take place on weekends, starting the second week of January and ending the second week of March.
